The mission of this company is to cultivate nature in the midst of hectic urban environments, suburban subdivisions, & country vistas. Edible Landscaping is a modern endeavor whose artistic inspiration is blended with food. One of the most basic necessities of life.With materials from accredited, professional, resources; deconstructed building sites; or salvaged from the land; the artist creates visionary environments to transform and enhance every landscape setting in the most fundamental way-growing food. With technical precision, we also build water features: ponds, streams, waterfalls, to bring into each setting the full spectrum of natural dimension. In these fully realized and transformed landscape environments, familiar features of your home become sacred spaces to experience nature in it’s most inspired form, bringing both tranquility and vitality, qualities of exquisite beauty to inspire your creativity and on a practical level, simply enhance the value of your land investment.
Our “Edible” name alludes to the expertise we have developed for cultivating food producing gardens & trees, if you choose to incorporate such vegetation in your landscape plan. Moreover, what is edible in a landscape is also the part of the setting that is lovely to look at, life promoting, and gives further practical value because of the home grown produce that supports our living even just a bit more gently on the earth. It's extremely simple "Grow Food Not Lawns" why who ever thought of that?
I am a lover of life and this includes all it's apparent imperfections. I sometimes metaphorically see life as a garden going through its cycles of life and death. A flower starts as a seed all alone deep within the darkest of soils made of decaying matter. The seed is watered and begins to grow not even aware of all the seeds around it. It makes it to the surface, sprouts, and begins to grow into a plant. It grows up and up. It sees, and feels it's community of friends all around it. It receives water, nutrients in the soil, wind to make it strong, and friends to help it along. It gives back healthy negative ions, oxygen, beauty, and inspires it's friends to help them along. The giving and the receiving-one can not exist without the other. This reciprocal exchange is what one may define as love. This is a beautiful miracle we witness all the time in life's little every day moments. Just as a seed receives nutrients from the soil, a child receives a reassuring hug that they are doing great! Over the years, mom witnesses her child grow as she feeds her child every day with lots of love in a loving environment. She gives, she receives....
